Missions

The Great Commission

We believe the mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ from every nation, tribe, and tongue. All men have sinned, and the good news is that Christ died for all men, but only those who believe in Him will see eternal life. In order to believe in Him, they must first hear of Him and the blood of His cross. Jesus committed the spread of this gospel message to the church. So we must send people to reach those who haven’t heard. Christ is worthy of our worship, and we aim to both love those lost in sin, and see to it that Christ receives the worship He is due.

The gospel has made astounding progress in the course of 2,000 years, so that Christianity is truly a global religion today—and Baptists have played a major role in that progress. But there is still much work to be done. In obedience to Christ, we aim to support missionaries who aspire to give their lives full-time to building up the church in lesser-reached regions of the world, especially overseas.
