Fellowship

The Sunday Gathering of the Church

Since First Baptist meets at one location at one time, relationships tend to happen more organically here than at a large church with multiple services. You’re not just another face in the crowd. Our members practice down home hospitality, with visiting before the service, lingering for fellowship after the service over refreshments, and potluck meals where all are welcome once a month. Expect to come and receive a warm welcome.

Wednesday Prayer Gathering

“You do not have, because you do not ask.” -James 4:2

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” -Matt. 7:7

We encourage our members and attenders and welcome any in the community to gather with us the third Wednesday of each month to pray together. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, January 17th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the church building. We start with a meal together, move into Bible study, and spend the remaining time in prayer that God’s name would be honored, His will done, and the gospel would spread, that He would provide our needs and forgive our sins; and we praise Him for His greatness and glory. We invite you to come whether you’re willing to pray aloud or not. The public gathering of God’s people to pray shows a collective earnestness to receive what we ask from Him.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God…” -Phil. 4:6
