When do we meet?

Our worship service begins every Sunday at 10:00am and wraps up by 11:15am. Many of us linger for fellowship after the service, and we welcome guests to stay as long as they like to get to know us and our church.

Where do we meet?

First Baptist meets at a historic, well-maintained, and beautiful building on the west side of Wisconsin Rapids, just a block off West Grand Ave., behind Family Natural Foods. We have a parking lot available immediately to the west (left side of the church when viewed from McKinley St.) with a spot reserved for handicap parking and another for guest parking. We also have a spot reserved for guest parking on the street immediately in front of the building, marked by two cranberry red First Baptist Church signs placed next to the curb. Please feel free to make use of these spots if you’re a guest to the church!

What about the kids?

We believe children are a blessing from God, and we encourage parents to keep their children in the worship service with them as they are able. We welcome all the little noises children tend to make—the service is for kids too! We believe it is important for children as well as adults to participate in the corporate gathering in order to draw them to Christ, and to disciple them in Christ.

At the same time, we do understand the challenge of parenting a child or multiple children through a whole church service. In order to help serve those with children and to ensure worship is not disrupted, we have a newly updated nursery downstairs with big comfy couches, an oversized playmat, books, and a great assortment of toys. The speaker in the nursery will help you keep track of worship upstairs. We also have volunteers available who would love to help you out by watching the kids so you can sit in on the service uninterrupted and catch your breath from the good but oftentimes overwhelming work of raising children.

If there is any other way we might help you attend church and worship Christ as a family, feel free to contact us via phone, e-mail (links below under “Get in Touch”), or in person and let us know your thoughts or needs. We’re committed to making families welcome and serving them as best we can. It would be great to hear from you!
