Sundays

What to Expect

Every Sunday from 10:00am to 11:30am, First Baptist Church gathers to worship the risen Lord Jesus Christ in song, prayer, and the reading and preaching of the word of God. The first Sunday of the month we observe the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. If you come, you’ll find a church that feels like family, with friendly members who will look forward to meeting you and making you feel at home.

The music at First Baptist is mostly traditional, with favorite hymns, but our aim is to sing the best of the old and the best of the new. The style of preaching is expository, which means we typically work through one book of the Bible at a time, with the preacher explaining the meaning of the text clearly, applying it to all of life, and exulting in Jesus Christ. Most folks dress casual. Walk right in, take a bulletin from our greeter, and find a seat anywhere you choose.

We end our service with a blessing by the pastor, after which any attending, including guests, are welcome to come up front to talk to the pastor, ask questions, or request prayer. Many in the church stay after the service to fellowship awhile over refreshments. All guests are welcome to join us!
